Hi. I hope I've got the purpose of your question..
Changing the language settings into the control panel doesn't affect the interface's language, actually it works just with some programs' settings.
If you wanna change the interface's language you need to install the MUI %26lt; Multilingual User Interface pack for windows vista, that's not always compatible with all windows versions; for example MUI pack needs vista ultimate or enterprise edition (and you've the premium home one...) and maybe it could also need to be installed on the english version...
Anyway try to get a look on some website about it, maybe you'll find a suitable soultion!

i already solved this problem...i just found a site www.froggie.com they have the step by step instruction on how to change the language of my laptop from italian to english.
