How to change language permanently in microsoft office 2003?

I'm using Microsoft Office 2003, English version. I tried my best to change the language setting from English US to English UK, but I couldn't. As soon as I click OK to confirm changing the language setting to English UK, it turns automatically to US. Is there a way at all to sort it out? Thanks in advanceHow to change language permanently in microsoft office 2003?
Are you doing it from the Control Panel? If not, Start, Control Panel, regional change to English UK but hit the DEFAULT button. Also, just to make sure, in Word, up to Tools, Language and make sure that says English UK by default! Also go into page set up to make sure your printer settings are for UK, i.e. A4 size paper with 2.54cm margins all round, not 3.17 right and left which is for lettersize paper which is shorter and wider than A4.

I have found sometimes though that even if you have set language to UK by default, if you open a file created on someone else's computer who has not set the language it might revert for that document to English US as can be seen by looking at the task bar, right side. How to change language permanently in microsoft office 2003?
may be the ';English UK'; language option isn't installed properly. try fixing that.
In the language menu highlight English (U.K) then click default then yes. Then open a new document and it should be in English UK.
